New First Class For Hawaiian Airlines

Thu Nov 29, 2007 5:41 am

With Hawaiian's new order for A350s and A330s could we see a new first class seat to be competitive? They will most likely be using their A350s on the international routes, south pacific/asia and Europe, but they currently only have 3 rows of first class, and when beginning Europe flights (even at a cheaper price) they need a more competitive first class product. So could we see anything soon.

I doubt they will go with an International First Class product, since UAL and AA are the only US based airlines that currently offer that service. They currently use a Domestic F Class configuration. I would imagine they will go with an International Business Class product with lie flat seats, an enhancement over what NWA and CO currently provide and in line with UAL's recent announcement of lie-flat seats in Business Class.
