I remember Air Canada flights coming from India to Vancouver.
To my knowledge, Canadian has never operated to India. I think they have or had the rights to fly there, but never did.
I am not 100% sure, but I'm fairly certain.

CP has never operated to India.

AC used to operate DEL-LHR-YVR but pulled out in the early 1990s.

If they don't they should fly from YVR to India, realizing the large amounts of Indian Sub Continent immigrants that now live in the Vancouver area.

Air Canada also had a YYZ-LHR-DEL but they also dropped it at the same time as the YVR flight, From what I know, the profit factors where not high enough to keep the flight going...most people would get off in LHR from YYZ or get on at LHR and go to YYZ, and those that did go all the way to India rarely traveed in Executive class, where most of the money is made, so AC decided to drop the flight.....

Also Air India used to fly to YYZ with the 747-400 bt also dropped that route....

Canadian has never flown to India but they do have the rights to pakistan, and If i'm not mistaken they did fly there, although that was back in the pre jet age.....

Air Canada had a YYZ-LHR-BOM-SIN flight until the early 1990s but changed to a YVR -LHR-DEL service in 1992. They dropped the service in 1998 because of low yields and because they could depend on their Star Alliance partner Lufthansa to carry India bound passengers.

Air India also flew to Toronto until 1985, but dropped the service after their 747-200 on the route was blown out of the sky over the Atlantic Ocean, ostensibly by Sikh separatist terrorists.

I also think that a very large percentage of Indian immigrants in British Columbia are third or 4th generation immigrants who do not have the same connection to the old country as their parents or grandparents did. US-India traffic for instance, is highly dependent on business traffic, and the continuous large influx of new, well-heeled, and well-educated migrants who can afford to make trips back to India every year or so.

AI never operated 747-400s to Toronto. The YYZ flights were always with 747-200 through FRA outbound and LHR inbound, except for a brief period one winter when the JFK flight would operate on a LHR-JFK-YYZ-LHR loop 3 days/week with 747-400.

AI stopped Canada service in 1985 following the bombing of AI 182, but restarted around 1990 with service 3 days/week through LHR both ways. This service stopped in 1994.
