Lufthansa A340-600 In HKG

There is a Lufthansa A340-600 at HKG airport right now. Reg D-AIHE. It arrived yesterday (9th) and last we saw it was parked at a remote stand on the south side of the terminal.

From what I understand it was originally supposed to be ferried to MNL for a Lufthansa Technic visit but for some reason made its way to HKG instead. Is this true? Can anyone shed some light on this?

For what I can see it was en route from CAN to MNL and diverted into HKG.
The machine is currently airborne performing flight LH 8966 to MNL.
It seems to be a technical or medical diversion.
