Wed Dec 12, 2007 12:18 pm

Quote:
PARIS -(Dow Jones)- Finland's Finnair has placed a firm order with Airbus for an additional A330-300 long-range aircraft for delivery in spring 2009, European aircraft maker Airbus said Wednesday.

Airbus is a unit of European Aeronautics Defence and Space NV Co (5730.FR).

This new order brings the total number of Finnair's Airbus wide-body aircraft to 22, including seven A330-300s, four A340-300s and eleven A350 XWB. Airbus said they are contributing to the modernization of Finnair's long-haul fleet and are helping them meet their expansion plans.

Press release by EADS/Airbus

http://www.eads.net/1024/en/pressdb/....html

The press release confirms Finnair's previous option to convert their A343's into the A333. This also means that Airbus can now include 7 more orders for the A333 series and deduct 6 from the A343  Sad
