DL 757 On Its Way To BGR?

Thu Dec 13, 2007 8:27 pm

Hello everyone,

Does anyone know why there's a DL 757 en route from BOS to BGR right now?

http://flightaware.com/live/flight/DAL671

DAL 671 usually is routed BOS-ATL and then ATL-SAV, and is usually an MD-88, according to flightaware.

Not too sure but there have been a few diversions from BOS today because of weather and runway closures. Weather has been really bad here with numerous aircraft reporting poor braking conditions on 4R.

They are closing Boston in 10minutes 4PM EST so you will see a lot of diversions.

A BOS bound UA 757 from ORD is there now as well. (I am supposed to be on that plane to SFO. Doubt it will happen!)

I'm sure there will be many more diversions today. I posted about this particular flight because flightaware has both the ATL-SAV leg en route (MD-88) AND a mysterious BOS-BGR leg (757) with the same flight number. Is this just a flightaware glitch?

Yeah I saw that too, just a flightaware goof. And Boston is still open, Approach confused me and many pilots circling above BOS, they closed to chemically treat the runways.

Yup at one point they closed 9 and 4R 9 was scheduled and 4R was not until planes were reporting poor braking conditions and right now, all runways are closed not a good night
