2nd DL RNO-ATL Non-Stop

Sun Dec 16, 2007 4:48 am

In checking around for flights to see my sister in Boston, I stumbled across a second DL RNO-ATL non-stop that begins 1/21/08. It's DL9700, leaves RNO 2250, arrives ATL 0604. The other non-stop, which we have had for a couple of years, leaves daily around 0615. Hope this is a year-round addition, and not just a seasonal flight for skiers.
Active loading only, ma'am, keep it moving!

Don't get your hopes up. The flight number itself says this is only temporary.

I see that on the website as well. 9700 is an odd flight number though. I'm not sure about Delta, but most airlines use high flight numbers like that for charters or ferries.

97xx series flights have typically been extra sections added by Delta for one reason or another.

Indeed. It appears the flight operates on the 21st/22nd and then again the 26/27th, so it would appear these are extra segments for some convention in Reno that week. Also looks like the 738 on RNO-SLC is being upgraded to a 757 a few days that week as well.
