China Eastern Plans Huge Plane Orders

Sun Dec 16, 2007 7:59 pm

* Plans to buy 40 A320 aircraft, similar number of Boeing 737s
* To expand fleet by 53 percent to 322 aircraft by 2010
* In talks with Boeing on compensation for 787 delay
* Long-haul international routes in loss, so won't buy A380s

Do you mean all long-haul routes, or just those making loss ?

Here are some of MU long-haul destinations: CDG, LHR, YVR, LAX.

Are there any 737s left for the Chinese government to allocate?

I have been wondering the same thing. If not, I expect a 150 aircraft order going to Boeing in 2008.  Smile
