Swiss To Serve PEK During Olympic Games

According to a Swiss aviation forum, SWISS (LX) will serve PEK during summer 2008 to cater traffic demands for the olympic games in Beijing 2008. PEK will be served in connection with the new PVG service, flight details:

LX188 ZRH-PEK 1305-0515 343 RRT (valid 28Jul08, 04Aug08)
LX188 PEK-PVG 0600-0750 343 RRT (valid 29Jul08, 05Aug08)

LX189 PVG-PEK 0815-1010 343 RRT (valid 25-26Aug08, 28Aug08)
LX189 PEK-ZRH 1110-1640 343 RRT (valid 25-26Aug08, 28Aug08)

Subject to government approval.

twenty-fife minutes turnaround time for an A343 looks very ambitious...  Wink
...but it would be great to see that LX serves PEK!

but i doubt whether they will be able to make it..... its time for Swiss to expand though and i hope they will fly to more places!

The schedule shows turns of 45 minutes, 25 minutes and 1 hour. Southwest or Ryannair can do that, but Swiss with an A340 can't. Something is not correct, unless the dates aren't correct.
If you have never designed an airplane part before, let the real designers do the work!

I believe it will be operated as a triangle route in two different variants:

ZRH-PEK-PVG-ZRH and ZRH-PVG-PEK-ZRH on the dates shown.

Hence all the confusion.
