N600XL - Where Is This Plane?

Tue Dec 18, 2007 9:47 pm

On September 29, 2006, there was the collision between a Boeing 737-800 (PR-GTD) operated by Gol, and an Embraer Legacy 600 (N600XL) owned and operated by Excelaire.

Unfortunately the PR-GTD crashed in the jungle, all 154 occupants were fatally injured. But the N600XL performed an emergency landing at the Cachimbo Air Base (SBCC). The 2 crew members and 5 passengers were not injured. photo:

So what's happen to this brand new businessjet? Is it still on ground at SBCC?

The plane is still in the register of the FAA as N600XL:

Is there a possibility that Excelaire get this plane?

Yup, still there. Its been confiscated by the courts pending trial resolution , as a guarantee.
And that my friend, will take years.
I dont know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everyone
