N600XL - Where Is This Plane?

Tue Dec 18, 2007 9:47 pm

On September 29, 2006, there was the collision between a Boeing 737-800 (PR-GTD) operated by Gol, and an Embraer Legacy 600 (N600XL) owned and operated by Excelaire.

Unfortunately the PR-GTD crashed in the jungle, all 154 occupants were fatally injured. But the N600XL performed an emergency landing at the Cachimbo Air Base (SBCC). The 2 crew members and 5 passengers were not injured.

So what's happen to this brand new businessjet? Is it still on ground at SBCC?

The plane is still in the register of the FAA as N600XL: http://registry.faa.gov/aircraftinqu...t=600XL&cmndfind.x=14&cmndfind.y=8

Is there a possibility that Excelaire get this plane?

Yup, still there. Its been confiscated by the courts pending trial resolution , as a guarantee.
And that my friend, will take years.
I dont know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everyone
