LAX-KIX is long over due. Weve been without it for too long. Wonder if AA will codeshare on it like they do to TPE? The fact that AA used to fly to KIX means they are/were at least somewhat interested in the market, just not interested enough to fly it themselves since they discontinued it.
I'm going to miss those 744s greatly, I'm so used to those jumbo jets in the last 15 years since BR started TPE-LAX. Last I heard TPE-SFO will be switched to 773 by April 2008. Nonetheless, with rising oil prices, I support the airline's move toward more fuel efficient aircrafts (773 only uses two thirds of fuel than 744 on trans-Pacific sectors)
