767-300 Vs 767-300ER

How do I tell if my plane is an -ER model? I know they have ETOPS certification and backup systems, but is there any visible clues to the passenger - like different seat configs or something?

I flew on N123DN Monday. Is this an -ER ?

No N123DN is not an ER model. If you fly Delta one way to tell is all DL ERs have P+W 4000, and standard DL 767s have GE CF6. Also you can look at the safety card, that will tell you. And yes configurations are different on ER and standard models. ERs versions are configured for internetional travel, in a less crowded setting, while standard models have a domestic arrangement.

I flew on two Delta 767-300Ers this sumemer. The way you can tell is on the nose landing gear door. It says E-TOPS.

The 767.300 ER has a specific configuration...the ER has 2 front doors and 2 back doors...but the 767.300vs...has 1 front door...2 exit doors in the middle and 1 rear door!

ER Or Not: Etops

Hello,

Note that being an ER or not does rule the ETOPS certification AFAIK.

ETOPS requires a specific maintenance, a specific approval for the aircraft type and the airline, which both gains ETOPS from experience if I'm correct.

The first delivered 777-200s to United Airlines were of the 'A-market' and still they were ETOPS-certified from day one.

I was under impression that only Delta's -ER fleet was ETOPS certified!!!

You can't tell whether a Delta B767-300 is ER or not from the doors or engines.

All Delta B767-323s have GE CF6-80A/2 engines and a 4 door/4 overwing arrangement.

All Delta B767-323ERs delivered new from 1990 to 1998 have PW4060 engines and a 4 door/4 overwing arrangement.

All Delta B767-323ERs delivered new from 1999 onwards have GE CF6-80C2B6F engines and a 4 door/4 overwing arrangement.

6 Delta B767-3P6ERs are ex-Gulf Air aircraft and have GE CF6-80C2B4 engines and an 6 door/2 overwing arrangement.

I will be flying on a Delta 767-300 in May 2001, from CVG to MCO and I was wondering if anyone can tell me whether Delta uses the ER or non-ER model for this route.
