Actually there is are quite a few flying schools here, (atleast one in every state).
The Bombay Flying Club at Juhu in Bombay is the best and most preferred, though there are newer ones like the ones at Bangalore and Hyderabad, which have better equipment.
All have ab-initio training.
It is going to be pretty expensive though:around 5-7 lakhs, and even more for foreign students. Girls get a massive discount, dont ask me why!
But it is generally difficult to get thru the medicals etc. If you have spectacle, even of 0.25 number: then forget it.
