N160GE What Airline?

Sun Sep 03, 2000 5:24 pm

I recently flew from Birmingham to Palma with JMC. My airctaft was 757 G-FCLJ. I have recently looked this aircraft up on Commercial Aircaft census http://www.bird.ch/bharms/asr_sh00.htm and obtained that it is owned by GATX and entered service in 1994.
It has had the following regestrations:

N3519M
EI-CJX
N160GE

G-FCLJ (jmc air, current reg.)

Can anyone help me with finding out what airlines operated the aircraft before JMC did, the regestrations should help. I am intrigued by EI-CJX, as i know of no 757 operator in ireland.

check the site http://people.a2000.nl/sverb
which contains full owner histories of the 757s. You'll find out there it has been owned by the Irish GPA. Some of their aircraft are registered in the countries where they are being leased out to, but this one went to Transaero and probably because of additional costs involved registering/approval by the Russian CAA they flew it with Irish regi.
nobody has ever died from hard work, but why take the risk?
