New SAN-HNL Service Announced!

Sat Sep 09, 2000 12:43 am

According to today's USA Today, Hawaiian Airlines will begin daily non-stop SAN-HNL service on June 15. Flights will mostly likely be with a DC-10.

Finally San Diegans can get to Hawaii non-stop. It was only a matter of time... I wonder if AA, Aloha, or United will follow suit.

Aloha?? Does Aloha also fly to the mainland? I thought they only fly with 737 between the Hawaiian islands.

Aloha has initiated mainland service with 737-700s to Oakland. I've also heard SNA is their next mainland destination.

United had SAN-HNL service years ago, and dropped it.

And so did Delta. The HA flight will be a DC-10-30. I still do not know what the arrival/departure times are though.
