White Eagle Aviation

Sun Sep 17, 2000 11:50 pm

I am interested what routes and what type of service does
polish airline White Eagle Aviation offer - also what fleet it operates

I visited Wroclaw - Strachowice airport twice - in August this year, and exactly year before that
and i saw Let 410 of WEA parked at the same spot (pictured below)
Is it based there?

They are Polands biggest private airline
They bought a 737-400 IN May from Hapag Llloyd.
Dont have registration but it is configured for 167Y
It has an additional fuel tank so also has extended
range. The company plan to buy 2 more similar planes.
The plane flys tO mainly the Med on IT flights
In Poland the airline is known as WEA.It has 13 planes
and 2 helicopters and does a lot of cargo work in Poland
LOT at the moment cannot cope with charter requests
from Polish travel agencies and tour operators so this
737 is a welcome addition to the Polish register.

Do they still have the Yakovlev Yak-40s and Fokker F-27s in their fleet? The reason I ask this is that their website, http://www.whiteeagle.com.pl, still has these aircraft listed (although they obviously haven't updated it to include the 737s).
