There have been rumors circulating from pilots that Continental is interested in purchasing 15 757-300s, which would supposedly be used for domestic flights.
This has nothing to do with the supposed launch of the 757-200ERX, its a completely different thing here.
If I were CO, I would replace all the 737s and 757s w/ no BF with 753s(which I would configure with BF seats) on routes to the West Coast from EWR. The replaced a/c would be moved to CLE and IAH for more mainline service. Of course, some 753s would operat to high density markets, such as BOS, Florida, ORD, etc. Maybe one or two would be deployed to IAH for some transcontinental service, or maybe a IAH-OGG.
But that's just my idea, the rest is up truth
