Mountain Air Cargo (Fedex Feeder)

Fri Sep 22, 2000 3:36 am

If anyone has information on Mountain Air Cargo (A Fedex Feeder)...specifically any routes flown by the Fokker-27's, Shorts 330's, and Cessna Caravans it would be greatly appreciated. I've seen the F-27's and Cessna's at many different US airports and was always curious as to where they flew to. So if you have one that flies into your home airport and you have an idea as to where it goes...let me know.

Thanks,
Markus

Maybe I was being too specific...Does anyone know of ANY feeder routes flown by Fedex Feeder using the Caravan, Fokker 27, or Shorts in the Eastern half of the US?

hey markus -
at mitchell field in milwaukee, fedex had two companies operating there feeder service. now we're not talking about mountain air cargo, but there is a company called csa aviation that is based in iron mountain, in michigan's upper peninsula. they operate cessna-208 caravan's and as far as i know, the routes that they fly are mainly from mke to smaller airports throughout wisconsin and a few in michigan.

the other company that operated the feeder service for fedex at mke is called empire airlines and is based somewhere in idaho. they flew routes from mke to central wisconsin (cwa) using shorts-360's or fokker-27's. hope this helps in one way or another - after all, you did generalize it and say the eastern half of the united states!!!

Thanks,
This does help. MKE was one of the airports I've seen Fedex feeder planes (My sister lives there). I work for the airlines and have access to thousands of flight schedules, but not scheduled cargo flights. Anyone else...

Holy cow! Pick a city. Nearly all cities in the East that get a trunk flight have at least ONE feeder. Not all, but many do. The other thing to keep in mind is that of the 260 C208's FedEx owns, M.A.C. only operates a portion of them. Empire in the PacNW, WestAir in the SW, Baron in the SouthCentral, Corporate Air & CSA in the Midwest, M.A.C. in the SouthEast, and Wiggins in the NorthEast. Another point is that only M.A.C. and Empire operate the F27's.
Rather vague question,,,sorry for the vague answer.

I'm really trying to find out where some of these aircraft fly to from the smaller airports. I know there's a C208 that goes from Erie to Cleveland but I'm looking for some more routes.
Thanks,
Markus
