i just read that boeing offer a BC-17, a former Md-17.

Is it the same as C-17 military version?

Yes, it is a civilian version of the US Air Force C-17 Globemaster III transport. Don't forget Lockheed has a civilian version of the C-130 Hercules designated I believe the L-100?

MD-17 was an attempt at a commercial variant of the C-17. Two were built, but after there was no interest they were converted to C-17s for the US Air Force. I haven't heard of Boeing offering the MD-17 again, but it's not impossible.

Yes, the civilian version of the C-130 is designated L-100.
