I believe the Concorde has been grounded since AF4590. I'm not sure if they'll be back in service or not. I haven't been following this topic much.

Yes the Concordes have been grounded for passenger use since shortly after the recent crash of one in France. However, very recently one flew with crew only back to its home.

So, does that mean they will NEVER be used again? I LOVE the Concorde, thankfuly I was one of the lucky ones who got to fly on one two years ago on Air Frace.

I take it you were off visiting mars for the past few months.

Don't worry Concorde will be back: They need to find out 100% what went wrong and if it was a tyre burst that ruptured the fuel take take the appropriate measures to make sure it does not happen again. eg Better tyre and wheel design and further protection for the underside of the wings near the fuel tanks and hydraulic systems.

Hope this quickly explains what is going on.

All they need to do is to clear the runways from debris falling off CO DC-10s.

Yes, I believe it was! The last I heard was a piece of metal from a DC-10 was on the run way and they didn't make sure the runway was clear of debirs before the Concorde took off. Thanks for all the info!!

Look for the thread entitled "Piece of CO DC-10 Triggered Off Concorde Crash!!" for all the info and fights you could ever want or need.

BTW: Concorde was supposed to come to FSD recently...did it ever make it???

Your joking right? I could only dream that the Concorde would come here! It would have been on the news or somthing atleast...I dont even think we have a good enough runway for one to land. Where did you hear that it was supose to come to Sioux Falls? Hmmmmm......if it is true, that's intresting...but the best to my knowledge, it has not, and never will be here for a visit.
