Delta Airlines 757-300?

Sun Oct 01, 2000 12:36 am

There has been lots of speculation of which airlines will order the 757-300, if any in the U.S. But when I got my ticket confirmation for one leg on Delta I thought this was strange. Here, take a look yourself.

What are your thoughts?

i think it is the way the tickets are printed
for example the 200/300 version are printed next to each other to save money

Imagine it like the "Airbus Industrie Jet" on most internet schedules.

Actually I started noticing the same exact thing a few months ago, after Condor began operating this aircraft. I don't think this is a hint of DL ordering any, even though they probably eventually will. Most Travel Agencies do this with the 767s as well.

Typically, airlines print their tickets like this so nobody expects a certain type!:

Airbus A300/310
Airbus A320/321
Airbus A319/318
Airbus A330/340

Boeing 717
Boeing 727-100/200
Boeing 737-100/200
Boeing 737-300/400/500
Boeing 737-600/700/800/900
Boeing 747-100/200/300
Boeing 747-400
Boeing 757-200/300
Boeing 767-200/300/400
Boeing 777 (nothing else)

Get the picture?
