AA Equipment To Bermuda.

Thu Aug 25, 2011 11:42 am

AA has been running a 737-8 on their daily JFK-BDA service for the last few days instead of the usual 757. Does anyone know if this is permanent or temporary downsize? Funnily enough they ran a 757 on the daily Miami flight earlier in the week and I was excited that might be permanent change, being such a 757 fan

I thought the 762 was removed from the JFK-BDA flight some time ago (yes I remember back in 2006 I flew JFK-LAX on a 762 and the flight was 2 hours late because it was an aircraft arriving from BDA 2 hours late).

Indeed I saw the evening flight was a 738. Yesterday I flew FLL-JFK on a 738 and as soon as I got off the plane on T8 at 5.00PM I saw that the same airplane was scheduled to depart from the same gate to BDA shortly afterwards.

No, we haven't had an AA 762 here for some time. I used to get kick out of being able to fly from here to the west coast of the US on the same plane.

I'm really hoping this 737 isn't a permanent change. We've already got enough of them!!

It was the morning flight that was a 767, not the evening flight.

It's permanent, or at least there are no plans of changing it. Of course, a/c types swap out all the time, so it's not to say BDA won't see a 757 again, but for now JFK-BDA is scheduled as a 738.
