ANA's 787 Delivery Flight Airborne, Heading East.

Tue Sep 27, 2011 4:39 pm

quick question for our friends in Japan. The delivery flight is bound for Haneda, not Narita..... I take it the first 787 flight to HKG will be out of HND, not NRT???

I think so; most of the early operations are to HKG, to domestic points and then, early next year, to FRA.

Don't know when they will start basing acft in other airports.

Thanks for sharing the link; just coming up to the Aluetians, as I look at the map. 6h55 to go.

First to Fly Princess Dreamliner ANA 787 inaugural will be out of Narita to HKG and back to NRT not Haneda.

Not the greatest (heavily edited), but shows touchdown at least: http://www3.nhk.or.jp/daily/english/28_10.html

Great find Camilo! What a smooth touchdown!

I bet the Japanese are happy to have their new Princess Dreamliner on firm ground at HND!!

A happy ANA 787 landed in Japan!!

Does anyone know when the next 787 is going to be delivered, and to whom? Is there a timeline?

Just curious,

At about 6:00PM I noticed the 787 slowed it's velocity from 480 knots to an eventual 414 knots. What the reasoning behind the change?

Thanks,

Eat.

What about bidding??

as far as pilot-pay and routes go, what would be the most senior and sought after fleet at ANA, the 777, 747 or 787???

Could have something to do with timing for whatever arrival festivities were planned at HND. Maybe they were running ahead of schedule?

Flightaware reports groundspeed...they may have just flown into a headwind. Also, at cruise, you're flying Mach...if the outside air temperature changes your true airspeed will change at constant Mach.
