Wed Oct 19, 2011 3:47 am

AA were granted the rights very recently, and announced a start date for the flights, however, you are correct in that Chavez's Administration is so volatile that it could be rescinded at a moment's notice.

The route is on an indefinite hold.
It will not start in November.

Were they really? Or were they just hopeful between investing in VLN and announcing the service? I don't recall them actually getting any incremental rights.

I could have swore I saw a thread on here recently about AA's being granted permission to start flights. Perhaps I mis read. I trust your information more.

AA was selling tickets, and the flights were filling up quite nicely. Too bad, whatever happened.

This site certainly implies that they received the rights. No link is provided though.
