Emirates Hit New Pax Record At FCO

For the 3rd time in the last 2 months EK over-passed the 1.000 pax carried from Rome to Dubai in a single day.
This always occurred whenever EK scheduled a 3rd B-77W extra daily flight in some specific dates in order to accomodate the increasing demand for seats on the route.

Emirates Italia, in a press release, today refers the following numbers

From FCO to DXB

06 Aug : 1.005 pax
03 Oct : 1.014 pax
08 Oct : 1.025 pax

with also 37-to-42 [t] of belly cargo carried each/day

Total capacity offered in those days was around 1.060/1.090 seats (3 daily B77W in 3 classes).
The last one (1.025 pax) is so far the historical record for EK in Italy from a single airport, in a single day, one direction.
Eff from 01DEC EK will introduce new A380 service to FCO, with a total of 5 daily flights to the country (2 Rome, 2 Milan, 1 Venice).
Rumors abound that more flights are coming to the 3 Italian destinations in the near future.

Impressive and why FCO will see the A380. Is there a curfew or will FCO eventually become a European connection for EK's 4th hub wave?

Interesting that if Wikipedia is correct, it looks like IST is the competition with DXB.

Before the 4th wave we have to wait for the 3rd one regularly before
