What Will Happen To The VS/CO Mileage Partnership?

Sat Oct 29, 2011 2:30 am

Currently CO and VS have a codeshare deal and allow mileage accrual and rewards with eachother. But UA doesn't. Has there been any annoucement on what will happen under the new United?

No, I don't think there have.

BUT- speculation is rampant (and not just on a.net) that Virgin is looking to join an alliance.

With the current state of BMI, I am SERIOUSLY rooting for Virgin to join Star!!!

I could have far more choices here in the states to get to London that way... on aircraft I like, I should say, compared to UA's very LACKING 747 coach product, and their halfway completed 777 refurb.

And I just don't see Virgin going with SkyTeam. I suppose it could happen, but I'm not seeing it.

Amen to that. Even if they were to keep the agreement with the new United I'd be happy with it.
Here in Boston, *A options for flying to Europe are LH and mini-LH (a.k.a LX)   I would welcome more competition from *A.
