Aircraft @ DAB

Fri Oct 06, 2000 5:47 am

Soon I will have uploaded photos of the Love Plane and the other A-300 that are being choped at DAB. Our friends from the FAA (remember they are here to help) were not ammused wit me taking picutre s in the vicinty of the control tower. Oh well. They were nice and professional about it and didnt smash my camara. They just explained that I was a breach of their security. Anyways for all you love plane lovers you can see whats left of the poor craft.

This afternoon around 1300 the lower aircraft (which I originally thought was an A310 but clearly isn't) was doing full-throttle tests right over by the dorms! BEtween the dorms & terminal building. And it was, to say the least, rather loud.

Then, by 1400 when I cam back from class, the aircraft had moved to behind the Love Plane. Never know, this time next week I could be helping with that..... did you find anything out about it? Are you working on it?

I'll post it on this thread.... whether we can do it or not. TrnsWrld has had contact with the firm doing it (I know who it is too) and we will see what happens.

Yet Another Bird @ Dab?!?!

Fri Oct 06, 2000 11:36 pm

Did anyone notice the NWA DC-9-50 over there please dont say its on the block too... I thought NWA had mad love for the 9 and was in the process of putting them threw a toatal refurbishment. I too have mad love for that bird and would hate to see it choped. The 9 is the sexiest plane in the sky.
