With the NBA season looking like it's gonna happen, I would guess Delta will start converting the 319s back to VIP.
I think these were the ones that flew last year:
N328NB
N330NB
N331NB
N351NB
N352NB
N354NB
N362NB
It looks like N362NB remained in the VIP configuration I guess to do the NHL flights (anybody know the Delta NHL teams?).
Are the same aircraft gonna get converted back this year and how long does it take to make the switch?

I will have to check tomorrow on the tail numbers to see what is going on with the aircraft. But as far as the NHL teams go right now:
Avalanche, LA Kings, Flyers, and Wild.
They are using 8 319's and looking into a 9th aircraft. With the shortened/compressed NBA season should be interesting, more NHL teams are looking to join.

N331NB- This plane has been sitting around for quite sometime, did a a sub today for a 737, still in full config.

DL doesn't keep these in the special configuration year round? Does DL do any MLB or college sport charters (outside of football)?

Yes, we do both NCAA and MLB charters, but on 737/757 aircraft in normal pax-configured aircraft. Nothing special in that biz

No, normally I think two stayed converted (N354NB & N362NB) to handle hockey but last year only one stayed VIP (N362NB), the rest get converted back once NBA ends.
