Cathay Aircraft Seating Changes?

Sat Dec 03, 2011 8:24 am

Cathay announced a new Business Class a good while back, replacing its much disliked "herringbone" layout. I realise that this new seating will not be featured on the A340 and 744, but does anyone know how many of the 777s and A330s now have the new J Class? Initially, the seat was to be available only on 330s flying to SYD, but of course, that was some time ago and I was just wondering how many routes have service with the new seat now?

Also, CX announced that it was launching a new Premium Economy Class, to be introduced on the YYZ route next year. However, there is nothing on the CX website. When it the formal launch to be expected?

Should be:
-7 x 77W's (B-KPB, B-KPS/T/U/VWX
-3 x A330's (B-LAK/L/M
so far making a total of 10 aircraft with the new Business Class already.

The retrofit will continue into 2012 and most long haul A330's and 77W's will have it by the end of next year.

Premium Economy will be announce first quarter of 2012.
