Interesting. On my recent trip there, we were all told that Boeing has its own fire department at KPAE.
I wonder why the public FD was called in - presumably it's better to be safe than sorry?
Sorry to hear the report about the badly burned person.
Best thoughts for a speedy recovery.
Inspiration, move me brightly! Light the song with sense and color. Hold away despair, more than this I will not ask. Faced with mysteries dark and vast, statements just seem vain at last. Some rise, some fall, some climb, to get to Terrapin!
Boeing does have its own fire department. However, depending on how serious the situation is, they will call for help from the regular fire department. In the case of injury, Boeing will have Medic One take the patient if it is severe.
That was in the 40-30 building. The Boeing Fire Dept turned the power back on about 2 pm and there was a small explosion, and some people were trapped in one of the elevators. They finally got it fixed about 3 pm. What appears to be smoke in the msnbc/KING5 helicopter picture is actually fog.
