Flybe E-175 At LGW Now...

Fri Dec 23, 2011 10:27 pm

Today a Flybe E-175 G-FBJC positioned into LGW today. So does LGW now have the E-175 operating here along side the current E-195's? Any information would be appreciated, cheers!

The EMB-175s are due to operate the ABZ/INV routes but are not based at LGW. The one there on Friday was operating a ski charter.

Only 1 Q400 is based at London Gatwick & it operates to Nantes & Jersey only. All the other Q400s & E195s that you see are based at other airports and are just operating in/out all day. You'll probably find a few 175/195s night stop at the weekends during the winter & operate a number of winter flights/charters.

There are no plans to increase the amount of aircraft based at Gatwick, nor for the Q400 to be replaced by a E175.
