Virgin America Crew Bases

Wed Dec 28, 2011 4:23 pm

Does VX have more than one (1) crew base? I know they have a crew base at SFO, but I thought for some reason they had bases at LAX and JFK as well.

Also, do you know if they're hiring for FAs right now?

Yes, San Francisco, Los Angeles and New York-JFK. San Francisco is by far the largest of the hub bases.

Not sure about FAs but I'm sure you could check their site for that. Anything pilot related you'd want to know is all on the above website.

All their crews are now based in Virginia. The internets told me

All pilots are technically based in SFO. They have some virtual bases in LAX, JFK and IAD, but the pairings are all built with Deadheads from SFO to one of the other stations to start and finish the trip with the crew option of not taking those Deadheads. The reason they can do this is because all their manuals are electronic and there is no physical need to actually be in SFO.
There are 3 types of people in this world, those that can count, and those that can't.
