Enticing Airlines Without SJC Curfew?

Thu Jan 05, 2012 10:52 pm

Could SJC do better without curfews? I know AA/UA flew to ORD at 11pm, AA JFK at 10pm, BOS 950pm, DL fies ATL at 1045pm (NW flew DTW 10p-seasonal) and B6 fly to JFK & BOS (seasonal with red-eye). The curfew stops CO flying at 1am to IAH and AA at 1230am to DFW. Would it be worth lifting? I live on the SJC flight path, and they can get stage 3+ equip to run those. You don't hear hardly at all.

Maybe AA and CO/UA don't desire to fly a red-eye SJC-DFW or SJC-IAH. Maybe they wouldn't think there was a market for those flights even if the curfew didn't exist.
