Cargoitalia DC10 At Nimes

Mon Jan 09, 2012 8:59 pm

"DC-10 G-CGXU (47843 ex PP-VMV, N335SJ, F-GSKA, N335SJ, SX-CVC, N331FV, I-CGIA), which was registered to Turbine Motor Works on 26/8 & has been stored at Nimes, was cancelled from the register yesterday as permanently withdrawn from use".

Source Gatwick Spotters list

Turbine Motor Works Ltd service GE CF6s, so I expect that are only interested in the engines.

Does anyone know if I-CGIA has been broken up yet.

Also are there any other aircraft stored at Nimes.

Looking at Google Satellite, there appears to be an AOM DC10 stored as well as unidentified 757/767/DC8, one of each. If you look at the Street View there even appears to be a Qantas tail visible.

The 762 is in Jat Airways colors, but was not take up by the airline and is now flying as N766VA with Vision Airlines
The DC8 is the former governmental aircraft of Gabon.

Don't know about the 752, probably Eagle Aviation or so.
