HA History At ONT (question)

Sun Jan 22, 2012 4:30 am

I know that HA served ONT from 2002 - 2004. I recently came upon a HA system timetable dated 1 Nov. 92 that lists HA41 ONT-HNL (Mo/We/Fr) and HA42 HNL-ONT (Tu/Th/Su). According to the timetable it operated with an L-1011.
Does anyone recall this service as being operated? If so, for how long?

Yes I remember the service operating in the early 1990s and seeing the L1011 at ONT. Sometime during the early 90s service, the mayor of Ontario at the time accepted a free upgrade to F for himself and his family, and wound up having to resign after the controversy.
135 hrs PIC (mostly PA-28) - not current. Landings at MDW, PIA, JAN.

Yes the L-1011 was a RON in ONT, much like their other west coast destinations were, I don't think it was very successful
