Cebu Pacific Launch Manila-Siem Reap

Thu Jan 26, 2012 12:36 pm

Cebu Pacific is launching Manila-Siem Reap April 19, flying thrice weekly with an A319!
This will be the first route between The Philippines and Cambodia.

I find this new route to be very interesting. It is aparently aimed at backpackers traveling around in Southeast Asia, but I find it hard to see them fill all these seats? I think a twice weekly service would be better off to start with.

That being said, nice to see them try new routes like these!

I am sure that they have performed the necessary analysis to determine the most suitable frequency.

And given their financial performance, shown below (starting in 2010 and back to 2006), they seem to know what they doing.

Net result (USD, millions) 153.75, 68.19, (73.00), 78.86, 3.85
Net margin 23.78%, 13.97%, (16.56%), 24.06%, 1.95%
