Ansett At PER

Mon Oct 09, 2000 2:32 am

Can anyone tell me what exactly is Ansett's set-up at the Perth Domestic terminal? I saw a Diagram, and it only showed two air-bridges. There must be some remote stands, either right at the terminal, or in a remote location. Can anyone tell me what the deal is? (I am flying to PER from SYD on Ansett, and hoping to use a remote stand, what are my chances?)

Arriving on an A320 or B767 from the east coast means a 99.9% chance of using the two air bridges. There are some 12 other remote stands(as the Ansett gates are numbered 1-14) but these are mainly used by SKywest and Ansett flghts within WA on the BAe 146 and the 737. The only chance you could have of using the remote stands is if you depart Perth between 6-7am . All the gates are full and there are around 3-4 flights goig over east at this time, so there is a slim chance then of getting a remote stand. Good luck!

Yeah I agree, you have very slim chances. I did work exsperience with Ansett at the Perth terminal and with only two air bridges they mainly use the bridges to offload passengers then tow them to remote stand for other aircraft to use the bridges.
