No news yet, just a lot of bickering between F9 and WN/FL. DOT suppose to make a decision this week, 1/31 but no answer so far. Maybe later today or tomorrow we will know.

Are you sure 1/31 wasn't the reply deadline?

Taken from the original article "As a result, the DOT on Monday instituted the route case. It set up a tight schedule: petitions due by Thursday, answers to petitions by Tuesday, supplements and additions by Jan. 19, answers to those by Jan. 26 and final replies by Jan. 31".

"In light of our stated goal of reaching a prompt final decision, we intend to process this case on an accelerated procedural schedule," the DOT said.

As government plain language goes I could read it both ways.

I'm lost. The last day for replies was 1/31. What other reasonable reading is there?

Hmmm... Awfully quiet for an expedited decision.

It sure has been quiet.    How much longer are they going to take to get to a decision...

From a contract aspect I could read this as the last day for replies/arguments from the carriers was 1/31

I suspect thereafter there would be a 30 day cooling down period. As this is contested route the timeline may also include a notification period to the Mexican and or Provincial Government. I have a suspicion the FL merger/acquisition with WN may also be hindering the decision as a thorough check of both carriers finances would be made.

The last comments I see on the OST docket are dated January 26, 2012. Are you current through that date? Legal counsel who F9 and FL/WN hired in D.C. are shooting spitballs at each other.

The last replies submitted by both parties was January 31, 2012. After that nothing else has been posted.
