BROUGHT from previous thread to allow for comment:

I have done an analysis of the Skywest CR200 fleet - 63 are listed as part of the United Express operating fleet.

This number should currently be 70 of a total of 76 possible aircraft.

Three are in Skywest house colours - 947, 951, 953.

Skywest has commenced operating for US Airways in Phoenix - already painted are 906, 944, 955.
There will be 14 CRJ200s operating in Phoenix, so it is possible that more will change operations.

This is a list of 76 registrations:

Here is a video of the new economy plus section in one of CO 737-800s. It is a BIG improvement!!!! DirecTV, E+, soon wifi, newer planes = I's say the best economy seats of any US carrier.

Per Last Of The UA Battleship Grey Livery (by tu154 Jan 24 2012 in Civil Aviation)#1 N206UA and N229UA, both 777s, are the last two mainline planes flying in Battleship Grey.

I flew on CO ship #203 last week IAH-SAN and was "upgraded" to an E+ seat. I must say this is a nice improvement to the UA product, and hopefully I'll get seats in that section in the future. It's amazing how much space just 5"or 6" adds to the row.

How is the whole E+ thing going to work? By that I mean, will they be exclusive forElite members? How more expensive will they be if they are for purchase? By how much will the capacity of the plane be reduced to?

Also one more question, by when will wifi be installed in all of the aircraft? Will it be free?

I apologize in advance for the numerous questions

I didn't look for it. I did not see anything mentioned about it. Maybe when they do the WiFi they would put it in as I think the have to change a lot more ( wiring) than taking out a row of seats.

N361PH
N362PH
N365PH
N366PH
N368PH
N374PH

leaving 4 w/o UNITED titles [from photographs]:

If anyone can advise that any of the above have been UNITED titled, much appeciated.

As of March 3rd, when UA migrates to Shares, it will be as follows for reserving E+:
Silver - Day of Departure
All others at booking time

As for paying to get E+ it will be as is today, variable based on length of flight. The longer the flight the more you pay.

Also available is an annual option, but terms of that option have not been announced for time post-March 3rd.

How many seats are being removed are based on the aircraft size. For the 757-2 they removed 6 seats (1 row) based on the information I have seen.

From previous thread, I am sure that a couple of these may be wrong and others can elaborate more as I know the 738 fleet has 2 sub-fleets (mid-cabin lav vs none) that will be somewhat aligned in this conversion.
B735 [8/106 becomes 8/40/60]
B73G[12/112 becomes 12/40/66]
B738 [16/144 becomes 16/48/90] - FLEET STARTED
B739 [20/153 becomes 20/51/96]

Also one more question, by when will wifi be installed in all of the aircraft? Will it be free?

I am not aware of any pricing being announced but since it is meant to be for domestic & international travel I highly doubt it will be free.

I didn't look for it. I did not see anything mentioned about it. Maybe when they do the WiFi they would put it in as I think the have to change a lot more ( wiring) than taking out a row of seats.

Does anybody know the status of Channel 9 installations on CO a/c?

Im assuming this is aircraft #6675? And are they supposed to take as long as the sCO 764 cabin refits?

Should take about 1-month on the 763W.

Once completed new nose numbers will be 61xx

Last one should be complete by November.

Is anyone aware as to specifically when the first PS aircraft will enter modification to a two-class interior? Has the first aircraft been identified for this modification?

As of March 3rd, when UA migrates to Shares, it will be as follows for reserving E+:
Silver - Day of Departure
All others at booking time

Such a disappointment for me, as I missed Gold this year... the past year of having comp upgrades to E+ at booking even at Silver was awesome... now, I'm guessing if any are even available at check-in, it'll be middle seats :/

Yes, this is a big point that many Silvers are calling out but from a higher elite perspective I think they are making the right choice. I booked a roundtrip EWR-SFO on Friday of last week for Monday departure. I paid almost 2K for the ticket and I got a middle seat E (on a converted 757-200). That SUCKS for me as a Platinum. I hope that it will make it better for those high elite close-in bookings to get a 'better' seat

Oh, I agree. May suck for me, personally, but if I were running an airline I'd make the exact same call. Only 25-50k miles/year? Pfft. They should be grateful we even give them a free checked bag!

New 739 N36447 has been delivered.

New delivery 739ER is operating BFI-MCO, arriving 2/10 2007 EST. I assume it will get E+ before being put into service, with this aircraft needing an STC for E+. Correct?

PMCO 738 E+ additions.

Hearing the first 787 might arrive in June of this year, looked like fleet numbers were going to be 901 and up. Don't know if that will change or what they will be now, 0901 ? 787, the Plastic Airplane.

Is this a sign that PMUA's 4-number system for fleet numbering and the NxxxUA registration is going the way of the do-do? Both, especially the latter, would be quite unfortunate....

I say this because, while admittedly having no insight to the process, I find it very hard to believe that they could not have found a way to change the registrations with fully 1.5 years lead time between legal merger and first delivery.

Not trying to start anything, just curious if anyone knows more about it.

0901 is a 4 digit number....all of the PMCO birds went from a 3 digit to a 4 digit number to mesh with UAs system. CH aviation at least is reporting that they will be -822s....haven't seen that confirmed elsewhere however.

This process started long ago and the registration numbers were picked long ago. Why spend money to change the registration numbers.

http://www.flightglobal.com/news/art...emium-economy-on-first-787-360930/
"Continental initially ordered the 787 in December 2004, when the type was still known as the 7E7, with additional orders placed in June 2006 and March 2007, raising its total to 25 aircraft. Prior to the merger, the first of United's 25 787s was due in 2016, after it announced its order in December 2009. "

http://www.boeing.com/news/releases/2007/q1/070312d_nr.html
"SEATTLE, March 12, 2007 -- The Boeing Company [NYSE: BA] and Continental Airlines today announced an order for five 787-9 Dreamliners. The airline also has contracted to convert 12 previously ordered 787-8 jetliners to the larger 787-9s. Continental also becomes the first customer in the Americas to order the 787-9. "

8 787-8s
17 787-9s

Believe United's orders were for 787-8s, though that may change. So,....

Quoting CALPSAFltSkeds (Reply 32):
with this aircraft needing an STC for E+. Correct?

You shouldn't need an STC for removing a row of seats; the aircraft is certificated to a maximum seating capacity (in the case of a 737-800, it's 189 seats), and anything less than that is kosher....

Anyone know what the status is on DTV installations? When will the remaining 738 and 739ERs be done? When will they do the 753?

Now the PMCO 752 E+ conversions are totally complete. N14102, in SFO since 11/5/11 will exit 2/12 as flight 1543 SFO-EWR. It shows E+ configuration, which must have been done in SFO (all others done in MCO, LAX and IAH).

PMUA Grey livery update. N206UA ferried to VCV 2/6. N229UA, the last Grey livery, is scheduled to fly 2/13 IAD-SFO on Flight 846. If my guess is correct that N206UA might be completed by tomorrow, flight 846 IAD-SFO tomorrow may be the last mainline grey livery flight as most likely the aircraft will ferry SFO-VCV.
