1,000 Boeing 777 Rolled Out

Wed Feb 15, 2012 6:39 am

Tonight the 1,000 777 built, a 777-300ER for Emirates, was rolled out of the factory this evening:

Great news, although it's kind of a pity that it's not EK's 100th as well (which was rolled out only very recently); it would have been nice to show that EK now accounts for exactly 10% of all 777 production.

Will the 100th acft be 'EGQ?

The tag next to the photo says A6-EGO.

Interesting... Emirates 100th is A6-EGN (line #993), while line #1000 was supposed to be the 102nd for EK... That should suggest A6-EGP, or is there a freighter coming in between? (line #996-999 are unknowns as of now, it would make sense if the next freighter, A6-EFG is one of these).
nobody has ever died from hard work, but why take the risk?

A great achievement by Boeing! Just goes to show that hardwork pay's off with results like these.

Congratulations to Boeing on achieving this fantastic milestone! Here's to another 1000

Does anyone know if this aircraft will wear a special livery?

Yes, there were pictures of a EK 77F recently on KPAE Paine Field Blog or the Puget Sound Test Flights sites. I think the EK 77F is L/N 996 but not quite sure.
