I would say it is a good news. Coz why? Concorde has been around for more than 23 years and I assume that it will still be around for quite a long period of time and it hasn't been done much to its interior.
Plus, Concorde is something for rich people. Therefore, I would say YES
Does anyone know what the refurbishment will entail? I know Concorde has very little in the way of IFE, but I would think much of that type of equipment would not be added as there would be a weight penalty.
I've been certain from the time Concorde was grounded that it would fly again. Can't wait till they do!
Nice photo. I knew it was Glasgow before I checked. I recognised the steps! Was that picture taken the Sunday when the Concorde was delayed technical for hours and eventually turned up some time after 6pm? I can't remember what year it was but I know it was a Sunday in July and 92 would sound about right. That day was a nightmare.
To anyone who doubts Concorde will fly again - why the heck would BA be spending all that money to refurbish the interiors? Upper management must know exactly what is going on as far as how long they'll be grounded, if they are refurbishing and modifying the entire fleet.
They're not spending the money yet. They are thinking about it now, since the planes future is in doubt. They may have spent some, but then the project was frozen while they reasses things. Well this is what I read.
