Gang, I noticed on a flight recently that Air Canada paints little red lines around the "canoes" that hang from the 320/319 wings. They're visable on the part that sticks out aft of the wings (haven't been able to find a picture to post). I was sitting on the right side of the aircraft, so just assumed they did this on both sides. I have since purchased a model of an ACA
319 and it reflects this just on the right side of the plane. I also have a 319 model in my flightsim that has this on just the right side (moderators: this isn't a post about flight simming). I would have to assume this is the way it is in real life. (a) what are these lines representing and (b) if they are only on one side, why?
