Russell,

You don't actually ask a question.

What is it that you want to know or are trying to say?

Surprise   -- I found a former thread on the subject United's 777 Engines from 2005.

So CO's 777ERs have GE90-94B engines.

UA's 777s have Pratt and Whitney PT6A-66 engines.

Alright we need a reference on this....

This must be the efficiency improvement we have been hearing about....98% lower CASM improvement for 777.

Good engine on the TBM though:

Exactly what I was thinking! This is a pretty entertaining thread.

What I'm going to go ahead and assume is that OP was wondering how the maintenance crews and other ops will work going forward...

And to think -- I copied it straight out of the old 777 thread

Have we heard definitively if UA is going to do PIP on their PW4000's? I seem to remember hearing rumor of that, but no specifics about whether they would, or just stick with the GE90s and current PW4000 software.
