A Single CRS For *A?

Mon Mar 26, 2012 10:21 am

In some of the ongoing discussions about UA and SHARES Reservation System, I began to wonder if the alliances would move towards a single CRS. It seems like the logical next step, but I've not heard anyone talking about it.

*A has chosen Amadeus Altea as an alliance-wide technology platform but member carriers are free to opt out (which US and UA have).

Is it implemented, or underway? Will UA join when they begin to look for a new CRS to replace Shares?

Ummmmm that's not going to happen for a LONG time at the earliest. They didn't train all those people in SHARES for no reason.

If ever, why would you move to something you have a perpetual license to use and edit as if you actually owned it to something you will have to pay for?
Always wonderers if this "last and final boarding call" is in fact THE last and final boarding call.
