Good to see my former home airport growing again.
After loosing Tyrolean, Lufthansa, Turkish Airlines and also a couple of AF
routes (London, Copenhagen) over the last years it's great Volotea and Vueling are operating now and AF
is expanding again.
can profit a bit from the German aviation tax. But they would need a lot more LCC to compete against FKB
. It's still more an expensive business airport than a departure point for leisure flights.
Does anyone now how many a/c in nightstop AF
operates from SXB
? I counted 6 according to the schedules. I just have the impression they have really low a/c utilization on weekends. So I guess there would still be room for some charter/leisure flights in the summer season.
