Jeju Air Korea Applies For US Services

Korean LCC Jeju Air Co. Ltd, has filed with the DOT for a foreign air carrier permit, and route authorization to operate services between Republic of Korea and the United States.

Jeju Air initially plans to offer services between Pusan and Incheon with Guam utilizing 189-seat B737 aircraft.

Pusan service expected to commence on or about July 16th and operate 8x weekly, while Incheon would be served 14x weekly effective October 1st.

They had. 737-800 here in Miami two weeks ago doing test flights. Clearly they plan to fly from Korea to Miami on the 737...

In all seriousness, nice to see another carrier expanding.
