I took the OLD one a long time ago as an NRSA traveler... I remember getting into New Delhi from London like around 12:30AM and the plane to Hong Kong left a lil after 2:00 AM I THINK.... the flights were jam packed and we did get stuck in New Delhi for a while.
United is trying to retime them to allow more competitive connections from Hong Kong to London Heathrow I believe.. and plans on utilizing Boeing 747-400OB models on the routes. Better than the damned 767-300ERs if you ask me.
But since the re-announcement of United's RTW flight, they have also stated that New Delhi - Chicago is like weeks from being finalized and announced as a new route...
so lets see if this doesn't throw a wrench in the plans.
Also, if you think about it.

Anyone have any idea where these planes are coming from?? I heard that more 767-300s are being converted in Oakland and San Francisco for F/Y config and some of the ERs are being used to replace the 762s.... but I don't see many 777s coming online to really fill this gap... and United's almost done, if not done already, taking delivery of the last 747-400OP (#51)..... or is UA and GECAS working to get more 744s ????
