"Flying Boats" The DVD. Any More Documentaries?

Sun Apr 15, 2012 3:42 pm

For those of you that are history buffs of the age of the flying boats (Boeing 314, Short S23, Dornier, PBY Catalina, Grumman Goose, etc.) there is an interesting and fantastic DVD on Netflix called "Flying Boats". Just finished it last night and would recomment it to you. First disc spends a lot of time on Glenn Curtiss; great b/w films. Lots of time is spent on Pan Am and their Pacific routs with the Boeing 314. A particular favorite of mine. Excellent b/w footage. I am wondering if there are any more of such documentaries out there. Perhaps from outside the U.S. that are not available on NetFlix. Regards to all.
Sounds like a Beaver on floats..........we're saved!!
