Q400 In Chile

Sun Apr 15, 2012 7:04 pm

I saw this photo of the Q400 in SCEL here http://www.myaviation.net/search/photo_search.php?id=02146704 the caption of the photo reads on demo I can only imagine it would be a demo for LAN. My question here is when Lan acquired Aires they acquired their Q400's so why would BBD need to display the aircraft for them?

I suspect it's on a general South American tour. The Q400 single engine and high/hot performance might be just the ticket for airlines criss crossing the Andes.
What the...?

Quoting JoeCanuck (Reply 1):

Interesting but is there really potential turboprops don't seem to be that popular in South America other than Aires and LC Peru the major operators of props have already gone ATR

It was in SCL during the FIDAE airshow alongside the 787 and A380.
