Heated Discussion On Cockpit Almost Cause Crash

Fri Apr 20, 2012 10:53 am

I know that maybe the title I choose is a little sensationalist, but if you read the article you can see why I selected this words.
Sometimes is really amazing how unprofessionally can some people act, even in a highly regulated industry like aviation... thank God nothing happened.

Small summary :
Heated discussion between Captain and Second Officer, on board of a Firefly ATR-72 with 70 pax on board.
The discussion lasted from runway alignment for take off until 15 minutes into the flight.
The most scary part was the take off roll and initial climb, when the pilots actions could have disastrous consequences.
