Just curious, why would they run this in the summer as opposed to the winter if its going to be seasonal?

My best guess is aircraft utilization; but still doesn't make logical sense.

Im not sure about DFW market, but could the demand peaks in the summer for beach destinations as how the West Coast does? After all Dallas does not exactly have terrible winters to drive snow bird demand as other parts of the country.

I notice for example AA runs its DFW-BGI flight till end of August, while the Sun Country charters at DFW also peak in the summer with destinations like CZM, MBJ and PUJ ending by September.

Texas originating beach traffic peaks whenever kids are out of school (holidays, spring break and the summer). As such, it's much more like California in its seasonality with summer being the high season.

I thought it was weird to see Cayman Airways on the blue DFW signs that list the airlines while you're approaching the terminals, but Cayman was already listed up there this past weekend. Cool to see - have to say I didn't see that one coming but I'll take it.
